Will Goodfellow Wins the Quebec Provincial Championships

Provincial championships in Quebec is always an important race because Quebec is the hot bed for cycling talent in Canada.

I rode strongly all day setting tempo in the first laps in the climb to try and hurt some guys who could not go the 150 km. distance.

I got attacked for this reason on the top of the major 3 km. climb, but could match the attacks on the first laps.

Finally after doing tempo for 3 laps in the climb, I attacked on a windy stretch and my main rivals from Spidertech and Garneau let me go. I then bridged up to the 2 main breaks that were already up the road and dropped riders in the climb on every lap for the remaining 80km.

Finally it was down to three on the final 30km. lap. I dropped one rider in the beginning of the hill and then attacked the other at the top to come in solo for the win. Quite a special feeling to finally get my hands on this jersey which means a lot to me. To be able to win against some complete teams on my own, on a selective course is a bit of a dream come true.
